His Royal Majesty has served as a beacon of peace, development, and progressive leadership for over three decades. His leadership has been marked by educational sponsorship, national appointments, infrastructure development, and international representation of Ghana’s traditional authority.
He is widely recognized for his contributions to governance, development planning, and national service.
Early Life and Background
His Royal Majesty, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the Omanhen (Paramount Chief) of the Abeadze Traditional Area, was born on Sunday, January 31, 1960, at Abeadze Dominase in the Central Region of Ghana.
He was born a twin and named Kwesi Atta according to Akan naming tradition, but he later became widely known as Kwebu Ewusi. He is the seventh occupant of the great Ewusi Dynasty Stool, a royal lineage that has provided leadership to the Abeadze State for generations.
His mother served as a Queen Mother of Abeadze State, while his father, Opanyin Kwesi Baffoe, was a hardworking peasant farmer from Abeadze Akyiase. Current Leadership and International Engagement
His Royal Majesty continues to play an active role in national and international leadership initiatives. He currently serves as:
Board Chairman, Water Resources Commission, appointed by the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

Chairman, Made-in-Ghana Promotion Project, a role that has gained international recognition through initiatives to promote Ghanaian products abroad. In this capacity, he has led official engagements with the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom to promote locally manufactured products on international markets.

President, Ghana Traditional Medicine Foundation.
Board Chairman, African Young Leaders Alliance (AYLA).

He also continues to serve on key committees within the Regional and National Houses of Chiefs, including the Standing and Judicial Committees, where he contributes to traditional governance, legal adjudication, and national policy dialogue.
